 Hotels in Cesis  Cesis Cesis (known as Venden before 1917), an administrative centre of the Vidzeme region, with a population of 22 thousand, is located on the banks of the Gauya river. It was founded in 1207 because of the building of the castle. In 1323 it was raised into the status of a city. The main places of interest are the Livonia order Castle, the Roses Square, the St.Ioann`s Church. |
